Dangers of alcohol in the spotlight

by isleofman.com 20th October 2009

It's alcohol awareness week, and the Island’s Drug and Alcohol Strategy is promoting its work and encouraging people to know their drinking limits.

A total of 22 organisations are involved in the strategy, and coordinator Margaret O'Reilly says the initiative, which runs until Sunday, is a good opportunity to remind people about the work being done here.

She says a website set up to tell people more about the dangers of alcohol abuse also provides answers to common questions, such as what a unit is, and how fattening different drinks can be.
