Coroner's concerns over heroin abuse

by isleofman.com 19th October 2009

The coroner of inquests says a third death from heroin use in as many months is a 'sad reflection' on the Island.

Michael Moyle was speaking as he opened and adjourned the hearing into the death of 35-year-old Ramsey man Peter Liam Creer.

The body of Mr Creer, from Waterloo Road, was found aboard a boat in the town's arbour on July 30.

He died from a heroin overdose and a high degree of alcohol intoxication.

Adjourning the inquest for further inquiries, Mr Moyle questioned whether enough was being done in the Island to combat heroin use.
