Motorist 'very upset' after incident with cyclists

by isleofman.com 19th October 2009

Police are asking road users to show more consideration to others, after an incident on Marine Drive, south of Douglas, which, they say, could have ended in tragedy.

Officers say they were contacted by a driver who narrowly managed to avoid hitting four cyclists on the road near Port Soderick.

The incident happened at around 9.45am on Saturday, and the driver was said to be very upset afterwards.

Police are appealing for witnesses and are asking anybody who saw what happened to ring 631212.

Officers are taking the opportunity to appeal to all road users - motorists, cyclists and pedestrians – to stay safe at all times.
