Capital set for cleaning blitz

Bin bags and brushes at the ready, it's time for the "Big Tidy Up" in Douglas this weekend.

The initiative sees members of the public, local businesses, Douglas Council staff and workers and even the capital's mayor doing their bit to make the town sparkle.

It forms part of a large-scale event across the British Isles, organised by the "Keep Britain Tidy" organisation.

Council leader David Christian says it's time for the whole community to get involved:
