Efforts to secure the money made out of the TT "brand" have been stepped-up by the Department of Tourism and Leisure.
The DTL says it's recently registered a number of trademarks associated with the event and is now looking for firms to become officially-licensed partners.
They're seeking expressions of interest from both Manx and international companies to produce official merchandise.
The DTL's Chief Operating Officer Nick Black says people need to check now on the legality of what they're doing if they're planning on making stuff for next year's TT:
