Baines transferred to Island's prison

It’s just been confirmed, Isle of Man millionaire Trevor Baines has been transferred to the Island’s prison at Jurby following a health scare.

The 69 year-old spent last night in Noble’s Hospital after he took ill, shortly after being convicted of money laundering and false accounting following a month-long trial at Douglas courthouse.

However, following treatment, he has now been remanded in custody awaiting sentence next month.

His 50 year-old wife Wendy Baines, also convicted of false accounting, was yesterday bailed and will also be sentenced on November the 12th.
