More Opportunities for Cav Wins

by isleofman.com 14th October 2009

There are nine officially classified flat stages in the 2010 Tour de France route for Mark Cavendish to target.

The Manx cycling star will be confident of adding to his already impressive haul of ten stage victories in the past two years.

However, if Cav is to achieve his goal of winning the overall sprinters green jersey, he will have to survive 10 Mountain stages.

The big celebration for next season's event will be 100 years since the Pyrenees where first used.

The iconic Col du Tourmalet will be ridden twice in both directions.

The race starts in Rotterdam on Saturday 3rd July with a prologue time trial and finishes on Sunday 25th July on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.
