by isleofman.com 14th October 2009

Carolynn Sells, the first woman to win a race around the Mountain Course, has retired.

She won this year's Ultra Lightweight Manx Grand Prix at the beginning of September.... and has quit the sport just over a month later.

On her official website, a statement has been posted saying she has achieved her dream and now has lots of other things she wants to do with her life. She also thanks her family, friends and supporters who have helped her.

However, Carolynn is vowing to stay involved in road racing in some form.

This is the moment Carolynn Sells made motorsport history at the M.G.P. - commentary from Charlie Lambert:-
