Bellis regaining consciousness

There's still a way to go but Jonny Bellis is regaining consciousness as he continues his fightback from serious head injuries suffered almost a month ago.

Team Isle of Man coach Mike Doyle, who's also Jonny's uncle, says doctors at the CTO Hospital in Florence took him out of the induced coma at the weekend and he's slowly coming around.

The 21-year-old cycling star received skull fractures and bruising to the brain in a scooter accident near his Tuscan base three-and-a-half weeks ago and up until the weekend had been in the induced coma ever since.
