The public inquiry into rights-of-way at Langness resumes this morning (Monday) after a break of almost two months.
It was set up after a TV presenter Jermemy Clarkson diverted a path around his home, claiming there had never been rights of way over his land.
That claim is bitterly opposed by the ramblers group PROWL - Public Rights of Way Langness.
The inquiry inspector adjourned the hearing in August, allowing both parties more time to bring evidence forward.
But a high-profile local landowner who was expected to give evidence, has now said he will not appear, as Transport Minister David Anderson explained.
