Warning to vandals after Pulrose damage

by isleofman.com 11th October 2009

Young vandals are being warned they will face the full force of the law if they continue to commit acts of criminal damage in the area of the shops on the new Lower Pulrose Estate.

Leader of Douglas Council David Christian says youths have been congregating at the location since the estate was first built and their actions have left some residents at the end of their tether.

A shelter and bins have been damaged, down-spouts have been ripped from guttering and footballs have been kicked through windows, in an area where ball games aren't permitted.

CCTV cameras are about to be installed and Councillor Christian says anti-social behaviour caught on tape could lead to the culprits getting criminal records.
