MEA apologises after major power cut

by isleofman.com 10th October 2009

The MEA is apologising for a power cut in Santon which left more than 200 homes without electricity for around 18 hours.

Teams of engineers worked to find the fault in a faulty transformer which cut supplies both to homes and the Mount Murray Hotel complex.

Power was lost at around 9.30pm on Friday, initially to much of the Santon area but the loss was later confined to the Mount Murray estate.

Supplies were fully restored at 4.40pm on Saturday.
