Hockey big hitters do just that!

by isleofman.com 10th October 2009

Valkyrs A demolished their B team as their early season goal glut continued on Saturday.

A 9-0 romp, led by a hat-trick from Gareth Morris, kept them on top of the men’s Premier League.

Neil Jacobs (two), Chris Caldwell (two), Greg Miller and new signing Ollie Webster grabbed the others.

It was a similar story for reigning champions Bacchas A who had too much for Vikings B.

A Dave Kneale treble, coupled with goals for Richard Le Page (two), Andy Bridson (two) and Jamie Cox, secured a thumping 8-0 victory.

Vikings A underlined their intentions by hitting 13 past Harlequins.

Conor Byrne hit FIVE with Gerry Quinn chipping in with a hat-trick.

Andy Harding (two), Simon Harding, Andrew Burrows and Juan Corlett struck the others with Pete Nuttall and Pete Godwin replying on a miserable day for ‘Quins.

The most exciting contest in the top flight saw Castletown emerge 5-3 winners over Bacchas B.

Paul Kelly (two), Ciaran Stevens, Kieran Callister and Mike Taylor found the net for Town with Tony Bentley-Roberts, Andrew Vernon-Browne and Alex Bell scoring for Bacchas B.

A Kim Carney double fired champions Vikings A to the top of the women’s Premier League.

They edged out Valkyrs A, whose goal was scored by Emma Faulkner.

Ramsey A secured an important victory over Castletown A by the same scoreline, courtesy of Sarah Breen and Kathryn Craine goals.

Sophie Faragher was on target for Town.
