Bucks Road burglary investigated

by isleofman.com 9th October 2009

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Douglas on Tuesday.

At about 9.30pm, it's thought an intruder went into the hallway of a property in Bucks Road and stole a handbag.

Police say a male, described as six feet tall, of heavy build with long scruffy dark hair, and wearing dark clothing, was seen walking away from the house and down Crellin's Hill toward the promenade.

They would particularly like to speak to two youths, thought to be about 18, who were in the Bucks Road area and may have seen what happened.

They helped recover the bag and return it to the owner.

Anybody with information is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212, on the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111.
