by isleofman.com 8th October 2009

A 41-year-old Douglas man who committed drugs and driving offences has been remanded in custody until October 27 so a social inquiry report can be prepared.

Stephen Barry Watterson, of Albany Terrace, admitted possessing cocaine, driving without due care and attention, failing to report an accident and failing to stop after an accident.

The prosecution said police found ?128 worth of cocaine in two wraps when they searched Watterson's home on September 11.

On the evening of August 1, he reversed into a car in Lord Street car park and drove off, but several people saw him do it.

When police spoke to him, Watterson said he looked to check for damage to the vehicle but hadn't seen any.
