by isleofman.com 8th October 2009

The jury in the Trevor Baines trial remains 'out' tonight, deliberating its verdicts, after hearing three weeks of evidence relating to complex financial transactions.

The Isle of Man based millionaire is accused of laundering $175 million in Isle of Man banks, accrued dishonestly by the directors of an American software firm.

Mr Baines and his wife Wendy, of Africa House in Woodbourne Road, Douglas, are also charged with false accounting.

The court is set to resume at 10am tomorrow.
