A passenger on board the Island bound plane forced to make an emergency landing at Blackpool Airport yesterday (Wednesday) has described what happened.
Barbara Quayle from Onchan was one of around 150 passengers on board when the Viking Airlines Boeing737-300 encountered technical problems.
It was flying direct from Innsbruck in Austria to the Island when its pilot radioed air traffic control.
Passengers and crew finally arrived in the Island last night after a replacement Boeing was provided.
Mrs Quayle was full of praise for the way the situation was handled.
