More quails stolen in Douglas

by isleofman.com 6th October 2009

Police in Douglas are investigating an unusual theft.

Two live quails have been stolen from the garden of a property in Selbourne Drive.

The birds were in a hutch and were taken between 7.30pm on Sunday and 5pm yesterday.

They are described as silver Chinese painted quails, a rare breed with very distinctive black plumage and bright orange legs.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to ring Police Headquarters in Douglas on 631212.

Police investigated a similar incident when two Japanese quails were stolen from a house in the town in June.
