Successful trip to China

The chief minister has been reflecting on an important event in the development and expansion of the Isle of Man Ship Registry.

Tony Brown recently returned from China, where he led a party on a trip which saw singing star Samantha Barks perform the naming ceremony for a Manx registered vessel at a shipyard near Shanghai.

The ship is called the 'Caly Manx' and was built at a cost of ?22 million.

Mr Brown hopes the association will signal the start of a fruitful relationship:
