Sending Manx politicians to English political party conferences is a valuable way of getting the Island's message across.
That's according to Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle, who attended the Liberal Democrat event, where senior figures he spoke to included Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg, Vince Cable, MP, and Lord Wallace.
The latter two have been critical of the 'offshores' in the last few months, with Lord Wallace questioning the autonomy of the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
