'Opening day' for Castletown development

The ?20 million Callow's Yard in Castletown is fully open to the public from today.

It has shops, restaurants, cafes, takeaways and a night club among other things, and is seen by some as rejuvenating the former capital.

Others say it could damage local businesses and that it is bigger than was originally proposed.

Member of the local commissioners Kevin Weir runs a small sweet shop near the development and is waiting to see what it does for the town:
