The head of one of Britain's biggest nursing organistions has praised the professionalism and dedication of the Isle of Man's community nursing service.
Director of the Queen's Nursing Institute, Rosemary Cook, was on the Island to attend a special celebration held at Crookall House on Friday to mark 150 years of district nursing.
The event brought together past and present nurses to share a birthday cake commemorating the anniversary and swap experiences of their work.
Mrs Cook said that in the Isle of Man, the service is very deserving of the title 'Community Nursing'.
