The Attorney General has been denied the chance to appeal against the sentence of a would-be cocaine dealer.
Jade Cathryn Crosbie admitted producing cocaine and possessing the class A drug with intent to supply.
In May, she was jailed for a total of three years but the Attorney General said this was too lenient and asked for permission to appeal against it.
But Deemster Kerruish and Appeal Judge Tattershall turned town the application, saying it had no realistic prospect of success.
The court heard Crosbie had been caught at the bank where she worked with 56 grammes of cocaine worth just under ?4,500.
She said it was mostly for her own use, although she planned to sell some to friends.
The Attorney General argued Deemster Doyle had erred when he imposed a three-year sentence but Deemster Kerruish and Appeal Judge Tattershall said, given the circumstances, they would have sent her to jail for three and a half years.
In their judgement, they said the sentence was not unduly lenient and declined to grant leave for the appeal.
