Burma Star tribute to road accident victim

Tribute is being paid to an 84-year-old woman who died following a road accident on Tuesday.

Pamela Egee, of Port St Mary, suffered fatal injuries when the car she was in left the Braaid to St Mark's road, and careered 25 metres down an embankment into a stream.

Both she and her 90-year-old husband George were cut free from the wreckage in a major rescue operation, but Mrs Egee passed away in hospital yesterday morning.

Chairman of the Isle of Man Burma Star Association Peter Kennaugh says Mrs Egee was involved with the association for many years, and was a very special person:
