Peel Police Put Bobby in the Lobby

by isleofman.com 30th September 2009

The Western Neighbourhood Policing Team has found a new way to engage with the public in the form of a special event at the House of Manannan on Saturday 3rd October.

Inspector Mark Britton says, "As a part of our work in the community we continue to look for innovative ways to meet the public.

"Following on from our success with the 'Cuppa with a Copper' initiative, we are going to be putting a Bobby in the Lobby!

"In line with the theme of being at the heart of our community, we have arranged this day in conjunction with Manx National Heritage, and I'd like to thank them for the use of their lobby.

"I will be ensuring that there is a small display of our uniform for younger people to try on, and there'll also be a Police Car for them to see.

"Come and see us and enjoy a trip around the House of Manannan while you are there."

Margaret Jones, Area Manager West of Manx National Heritage, says, "We are delighted to have the opportunity to support our local Police force with such an interesting and unusual community event and are looking forward to welcoming our local bobby to the House of Manannan lobby."

Bobby in the Lobby takes place from 12pm until 2pm.
