Annual initiative boosts numbers at Douglas church

'Back to Church Sunday' was a resounding success, according to the Reverend Mark Wolverson, of All Saints in Douglas.

The event has been held annually across Britain since 2004 and, as the name suggests, the aim is to boost congregations, with churches welcoming anyone regardless of their denomination.

On Talking Heads today, Reverend Wolverson said it boosted numbers at his church and he hoped the new faces would come back for more:
