Mongolian Art Showcased at Callow's Yard

by isleofman.com 29th September 2009

Mongolian art is the focus of the latest exhibition to be showcased at The Gallery at Callows Yard in Castletown.

The exhibition, which enjoys its preview this evening (29th September) and will then be open to the public until 12th October, adds a new dimension to art from the eastern hemisphere with work from a little-known realm.

The exhibition showcases a diversity of work from several artists.

The connective thread between the work is a bold use of primary colours and mixed media, which are a testament to the artists' creative freedom.

The wide scope of both styles and subject matter has, in recent times, allowed Mongolian art to find a position in the international art scene, and such work is increasingly seen as an attractive investment for collectors of fine art.

A spokesperson for The Gallery comments, "From the countryside to canvas, Mongolian artists have become a collectors' delight with their rich colours, diverse styles and mediums, and unusual flair."
