Swine flu - keeping parents up to date

A letter giving the latest advice on swine flu is being sent out to parents of all school children in the Isle of Man.

On Friday, the Public Health Directorate confirmed there had been a number of new cases in schools since the start of 2009/2010 academic year, and yesterday several more children with suspected symptoms were sent home.

The letter from the Director of Education, will ask parents not to ring the schools about the virus, but to seek help and advice via the government website.

The department's head of Legal and Administrative Services John Gill says the letter will bring parents up to date with the latest situation (play audio file):
