Change of scenery for 'Walk and Talk' enthusiasts

by isleofman.com 28th September 2009

The ever popular 'Walk and Talk' sessions at the National Sports Centre have a temporary new home.

From today (Monday) they will be held at Noble's Park while essential work is carried out on the NSC athletics track and raceway.

The relaying of the athletics track is well under way and work will begin soon on relaying the perimeter raceway.

The move will affect the Monday evening and Tuesday and Friday day-time sessions, but they will be run in a similar fashion.

A half mile route around the park will be used, after which walkers can enjoy tea and coffee in the park cafe.

Walkers will return to the National Sport Centre when work is completed.

Session times will not change during the move and will remain as 5.30pm to 7pm on Mondays, and 9.30am to 11am on Tuesday and Fridays.

The registration point will be Noble's Park Cafe.
