Walking and Wining for Hospice!

by isleofman.com 28th September 2009

Across the Island, enthusiastic fundraisers are finding wildly different ways to help local charities.

The ladies of Baldrine Women's Institute (pictured) recently organised a Wine and Cheese Evening, all proceeds from which were pledged to Hospice Isle of Man.

The evening was well-supported and a great success, with a total of £600 being raised.

Meanwhile, two participants in this year's Parish Walk turned their road miles into a real boost for both Hospice and the local branch of Anti-Cancer.

Caroline Clague and Remo Ricciardi handed over their cheques to fundraising team members Carole Whitfield and Frances Moore.
