Voters in Port Erin will go to the polls next month to elect a new commissioner.
A seat became vacant following the resignation of Ms Luisa Gillow, and two candidates will contest the by-election.
They are Lorna Anne MacKellar, a carer who lives in Meadowfield, Bradda, Port Erin and insurance broker John Andrew Nicolas Watterson, of Gull Cottage, Bradda Road, Port Erin.
The election will be on Thursday, October 15 and the polling station, at the commissioners' office in Bridson Street, will be open from 8am to 8pm.
The successful candidate will serve on the board until the end of April 2012.
