Marina plans to go on show again

by isleofman.com 28th September 2009

The people of Ramsey are being given another chance to see proposals for a marina in the town.

A further day has been allocated after an overwhelming response to an exhibition last week.

Transport Minister David Anderson says the recent consultation was very well supported and there has been a lot of interest in the proposed scheme

But he is dismissing any suggestion there is a 'race' for another marina, between Ramsey and Port St Mary.

Mr Anderson says the two schemes are running concurrently but are at slightly different stages of development (play audio file):

The extra chance to see the marina plans will be on Saturday, October 17.
