A teenage girl was rescued from cliffs near Summerland on Saturday night.
Members of Douglas Coastguard Rescue Team were called out at around 11pm after a member of the public raised the alarm.
It's believed the girl had fallen 80 feet down the cliff and was injured.
Helped by a police officer and a member of the public, coastguards put the girl onto a spinal board and a basket stretcher and she was winched up the cliff face to waiting paramedics.
Douglas lifeboat was also involved, using searchlights to illuminate the scene, and police closed the road around Port Jack while the rescue was carried out.
Coastguards have commended the actions of the member of the public who they say called 999 promptly and gave accurate details of the situation.
No information has been released on the girl's condition.
