MHK says 'help police catch skate park vandals'

A Douglas MHK has condemned vandals who struck at the Noble's Park skateboard park this week.

South Douglas member Bill Malarkey says those responsible for digging large holes in the grass banks and destroying a bench, have spoiled the facility for local youngsters.

Mr Malarkey says rate payers' money has been spent on providing the skatepark, but the vandalism could jeopardise further investment.

He is urging anyone who knows who is responsible to contact the police.

But he's not in favour of using CCTV cameras to deter the vandals:
