Jonny Bellis underwent an operation to remove a blood clot from between his skull and brain this morning.

Team GB spokeswoman Fran Millar says doctors at the CTO Hospital in Florence, Italy, are happy with how the procedure went and Jonny remains in an an induced coma in a critical but stable condition.

The 21-year-old Manx cycling star has now been in that coma for six days, following his scooter crash in Italy a week ago, which left him with skull fractures and bruising to the brain.
