Off licence burglary investigated

by isleofman.com 23rd September 2009

Police are investigating a burglary at the Vineyard wineshop on Prospect Terrace, Douglas early this morning.

A large rock was thrown through the glass door and it's thought a man went inside with the intention of taking bottles of alcohol.

He's described as being of average height and build, and wearing a dark coloured jacket, blue jeans, white trainers and gloves.

It's thought the man had walked through a number of Douglas streets before committing the offence and anyone who saw him is asked to ring PC Graham Best on 631212 or use the anonymous Crimestoppers nymber, 0800 555 111.

The window was smashed at around 12.10am.
