Norovirus alert at two schools

There's been an outbreak of what's thought to be Norovirus in the Isle of Man.

Cases have been reported in two local primary schools.

The highly infectious condition, formerly known as the winter vomiting virus, causes vomiting and diarrhoea and can spread rapidly across schools and other institutions.

Director of public health Dr Parameswaran Kishore says any child who may have the virus should not be sent back to school too soon:
