Meeting on church boundary plans

by isleofman.com 23rd September 2009

If you want to find out more about proposals to re-draw parish boundaries in the south of the Island, there's a public meeting on the issue this evening.

Far-reaching plans to change the way the Anglican Church operates in the Isle of Man were recently unveiled in a report by Bishop Robert, and they will be debated by the church before the end of the month.

They include replacing the Rural Deaneries with four Mission Partnerships, and giving priests ministry over several churches in an area.

Transferring Malew Church into Castletown parish and combining Santon with Ballasalla and St Mark's has also been suggested.

The meeting, in the church hall at Ballasalla, starts at 7.30pm.
