Ramsey bidding for Britain in Bloom honours

by isleofman.com 23rd September 2009

After pulling out all the horticultural stops, Ramsey will find out how it has fared in Britain in Bloom 2009 this evening.

The prize ceremony for the annual event is being held in Torbay, Devon.

Ramsey is hoping for success in the small town category.

Last month, commissioners met judges before a tour of the town in the company of head gardener Ken Barnes and others involved in the bid.

Community participation, environmental responsibility and horticultural excellence were the three pillars of this year's campaign.
