Chamber backs marina plan

Ramsey Chamber of Commerce believes it's time for the town to reinvent itself, and a marina would provide the boost that's needed.

A public consultation is under way, with plans on display at the town hall between 9.30am and 4pm today, so people can see for themselves what is on offer.

The idea is not without its controversies, with some people fearing that damming the harbour may lead to an increased risk of flooding.

But Chamber of Commerce representative David Dorricott and chairman Chris Blatcher are emphatic supporters:
