Lifeboat rescues fishing boat

by isleofman.com 22nd September 2009

Douglas Lifeboat was launched last night to go to the aid of a fishing boat.

The vessel, with a crew of five, got into difficulties after its propeller became fouled while it was fishing about 25 miles south east of the Island's capital.

The lifeboat was launched at 7.40pm, in force six winds with a heavy swell.

It took the vessel in tow, arriving back in Douglas at 4am, with the fishing crew safe and well.
