Road accident victim - appeal for information

Police have named a man who died in a road accident in Douglas last week.

Forty-year-old Mark Andrew Penketh received fatal injuries in an accident at the junction of Ballaquayle Road and Woodbourne Road.

His motorcycle was involved in a collsion with a car.

The incident happened at around 9.05pm last Wednesday evening (September 16) and roads around the area were closed for almost seven hours while investigations were carried out.

Anyone who saw or spoke to Mr Penketh between 6.00pm and the time of the collision is asked to contact Police Headquarters in Douglas on 631 212.

Officers are also appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision itself to get in touch.
