Police are appealing for information about an accident which left a marshal in the End to End Walk at the weekend requiring hospital treatment.

Officers say the incident happened at the Hair Pin Bend on the coast road between Glen Maye and Dalby, at 1.30pm on Sunday.

They say a male marshal for the event was struck by a vehicle and was taken to hospital.

Anybody who saw what happened, or has any information which could help police, is asked to phone the station Peel on 842208.
