Bellis still stable after accident

Manx professional cyclist Jonny Bellis remained in a stable condition in an Italian hospital on Monday evening.

The 21-year-old was still in the intensive care unit at the CTO hospital in Florence where he was admitted following a scooter accident, in which he sustained serious head injuries, on Friday.

Bellis, a member of the Saxo Bank team, had been due to compete in the Road World Championships which start in Switzerland on Wednesday.
