An inquest into the death of a Douglas man who died by hanging has been adjourned so further inquiries can be carried out.
Coroner Michael Moyle heard Terence Mitchell, a 37-year-old joiner, of Terence Avenue, was found hanging by a rope from a beam.
The cause of death was given as asphyxia.
Mr Mitchell's body was discovered by his brother, on the afternoon of September 4.
Police have said there were no suspicious circumstances.
Mr Moyle adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
