Michael George was the winner of the White and Healthy Ramsey Bakery End to End Walk, finishing in fabulous, sunny conditions at the Sound yesterday.

He finished just over six minutes ahead of Jock Waddington in a time of 6:51.54, which was shy of the record set by Sean Hands last year.

In third was Vinny Lynch another five minutes back, while Janice Quirk came fourth.

She came home in 7:06.45, taking seven minutes off the ladies' record in the process.
