by isleofman.com 19th September 2009

Possible boundary changes in the south of the Island are causing concern for some Ballasalla residents.

A recent public meeting debated proposals in a report by Bishop Robert, which would see a change in the way the Anglican Church operates in the Isle of Man.

The suggestions include the establishment of four Mission Partnerships across the Island, to replace the existing Rural Deaneries.

The idea Malew Church could be transferred into Castletown, and Santon could come in line with Ballasalla and St Mark's have prompted discussion.

Eddie Power is from the Ballasalla and District Residents Association which organised the meeting (play audio file):

Bishop Robert's recommendations are due to be debated later this month.
