by isleofman.com 18th September 2009

Another of the Island’s flagship companies has committed its support to the 2010 Manx Telecom sponsored Bay Festival.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has signed up to be a gold event sponsor.

In addition to the support of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, Manx Telecom has signed to be overall event sponsor, Manx Radio the official media partner and PokerStars will be headline sponsor of the Saturday night of the festival.

The event will take place at Nobles Park, Douglas, between 18th and 20th June 2010; the artist line-up will be announced at the end of next month.

Mark Woodward, Chief Executive of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, commented: “The Steam Packet was one of the sponsors of the 2007 Peel Bay Music Festival, so we are delighted to be teaming up with Jonathan Irving and his team for the Manx Telecom Bay Festival next year.

“The 2007 event was a spectacular showcase for the Isle of Man and brought a lot of enjoyment to people living here. I know next year’s event will be even bigger and better and it is fantastic that once again we are able to be a part of that.”

Jonathan Irving, Promoter of the Manx Telecom Bay Festival, commented: “It is my pleasure to be able to welcome the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company to the party.

As we saw in 2007, they were a very active sponsor and I am very much looking forward to working with them once again.

“The Steam Packet Company joins the festival team at a very exciting stage of our development. We are currently in negotiation with a number of A-list artists and are looking forward to announcing the artist line-up next month.”
