Powerboat series reaches climax this weekend

The prestigious Honda Formula Four Stroke Powerboat races return to Manx waters this weekend.

It's the powerboat world's biggest offshore two-class series and this year the Manx leg is the final round of the season.

The boats are capable of speeds of up to 70mph and a closely matched field should see some hair-raising racing, especially as the boats make the tight turn around the Tower of Refuge.

Race organiser Brian Wheeler says the competitors always enjoy the Isle of Man:
