Bikers in Swiss charity challenge

by isleofman.com 18th September 2009

Three local men are attempting to get to Switzerland and back on motorbikes in 48 hours, in the name of charity.

The 'There and Back Charity Challenge' will involve a trip of 2,000 miles, including two sea crossings and two train journeys.

Paul Hunt, Charlie Murray and support rider John Turner are raising money for four motorsport charities, namely the Joey Dunlop Foundation, the TT Marshals' Association, the rescue helicopter and Isle of Man Motorsport Medical Services.

They were going to attempt the feat earlier in the year, but Charlie fell of his bike and smashed his knee so badly it had to be pinned together.

He says the idea stemmed from a conversation with some old friends (play audio file):

If you want to sponsor the boys you can visit thereandback.im to find more details.
